close call

last night was the closest trivia contest ever!!  With 7 different teams competing, every team finished within two points of the top.  and THREE different teams tied for the top spot!!

that means everyone sent their best man to the mike, trying to come away from the tie breaker question with a victory . . .

before we made it that far into the evening, players had to wade through questions such as . . .

• How many feet are in a mile?
• What are the first three words of the bible?
• Name the seven characters that comedian Jeff Dunham uses in his ventriloquist act.
• On an English dartboard, what is the lowest number that cannot be scored with a single dart?

The questions weren’t the only form of entertainment during the evening.  The lovely shooter girls livened up the atmosphere . . .

while players tried to solve the problem of the 8 Queens.  several people were able to successfully place 8 queens on a chessboard in positions where no Queen could attack another.

in the end, after all the tie-breaking, the crew of “One minute, Let’s get it in” came out on top!!

SPORTS TRIVIA – That’s right, tomorrow (Wednesday night) we will be gathering for a SPORTS ONLY trivia contest.  teams are limited to three persons and kickoff is at 7:30pm.  slightly ahead of our usual schedule.

and yes, it will be the typical Wednesday TACO NIGHT as well.  so, come on out and take a swing at the reigning champs (bower, builder, and Al), and take part in the taco-eating contest (skrully is the referee for that particular event)
