Dorko’s Cafe

Well the results are in.  Actually, they’ve been for about a week now, but we had to do some math to determine who had the high average in the leage, and that took some time.

After winning the first half of the season, it looked as though team Trout would be able to take the season championship by winning the second half with relative ease.  Team Dobeck disagreed, and pushed hard during phase two of the season to force what was essentially a playoff on the final Tuesday of Spring darts.

In a head to head match-up between these two teams, the answer to the question of whether the season would be pushed into a playoff came down to the final game.   But when the dust settled, Team Trout came out the winner. 

Congratulations to everyone who made the Spring League a great time, and especially to our champions!

this year we sent several dart teams to the annual Silver Bullet dart tournament in Neskopek.  The following teams advanced to the finals . . .

Dorko’s I advanced all the way to the final match-up, but despite a quality effort, they ended up short in their contest against the Raven’s Nest, who averaged 140’s in the finals.  Here is a camera-phone shot of the runners up.

the shuffleboard plaque is returning to the trophy case at Dorko’s!!

two weeks ago the season came to a close with Dorko’s narrowly besting the Clover Hose in the final standings. 

then, the past two weekends saw shuffleboard action all over town as the league tournament was held.  in the end, Dorko’s and the Clover Hose found themselves matched in the finals.  and, although the Clover’s jumped out to a strong lead, we managed to come back grab the victory in the end.
